Theory and Practice Approaches of SCTCH

Abstract:

 Currently, cancer treatments mainly focus on operation, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The great damages to the patients caused by the treatments and their clinical limits are gaining more and more attention to the tumor medicine field in the world. Particularly, there is still no effective solution for the patients who are on the terminal stages of cancer or those that can’t take in foods or medicine. The grievous side effect is also unsolved. Based on this point, Beijing psychosomatic sunlight medicine research center advanced the scheme of “Self-cure Treatment for Cancer at Home” (SCTCH). This treatment paid more attention to the effect of psychological factors. A brand-new approach of “unifying spirit and body” was developed with the new idea of “Double Reinforce and One Purge”(DROP). Outside treatment for internal illness approaches was employed in this new scheme. It is a complete treatment scheme for medium or terminal patients. Primary clinical results showed that this scheme was more effective than other current treatment methods. This treatment and its effect are hoping to be accepted by the experts in cancer treatment field in the world.

I Introduction

Malignant tumor has been becoming the primary enemy that threatens the life and health of human beings in the world.  The occurrence of this disease is increasing annually. In China, there are about 2 million new cancer patients produced each year, among which, 1.5 million patients will die within several years [1]. Besides the threatening to the life of human beings, malignant tumor causes a large amount of economic loss to the society. This loss is also increasing annually. In China, the average treatment cost for a tumor patient is about 40 thousand RMB (about 5,000 USD). Currently, cancer treatments mainly focus on operation, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The great damages to the patient caused by the treatments and their clinical limits are gaining more and more attention to the cancer medicine field in the world. Particularly, there is still no effective solution for the patients who are on the terminal stages of cancer or those that can’t take in foods or medicine. The grievous side effect is also unsolved. The emergence of SCTCH scheme is based the following factors: 1) The occurrence and development of tumor have great relation to psychosomatic medicine [2]. The current treatment methods do not pay enough attention to the mental factors, and the main attentions are putting on the pathological changes on human body.  However, the death of 80 percent tumor patients is corresponding to spiritual and mental factors. 2) The immunity function of cancer patient is low. With the development of cell immunology, a great amount of resources have proved that the aberrance of cell is due to the obstruction of immunity system [3]. And the immunity system of the body is controlled by both nerve and endocrine systems.

This cure method used in this study extended the treatment of tumor disease to patient’s emotion. It tracked the base of the disease, and proceeded with the body immunity system that is the foundation of cancer cell occurring and developing malignantly.  In SCTCH scheme, mental problem was solved through “Psychosomatic Theory of Traditional China Medicine” [4], and the physical problem was solved through DROP. The two actions operate simultaneously to strengthen the patient’s immunity system and perfect the immunity function.  Therefore, the malignant tumor disease can be cured thoroughly. The treatment can be executed in the patient’s home, and it is simple, economical and reliable. The cure rate is high and there is no side effect.

SCTCH integrated the cancer treatment methods of psychosomatic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, and modern physical treatment together to achieve a complete cancer treatment system. It is believed to be a brand-new breakthrough in cancer medicine fields.

II Theoretical Foundations of SCTCH

A Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine

1.      Human body is an organic ens. 

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that human body is an organic ens [5], and the visceras, organizations and apparatuses have close relation to each other to keep the harmony and balance of the body. On one hand, the body depends on viscera to exert their function to ensure the normal physiological actions. At the same time, the body relies on the cooperation function and restricted function between each other to guarantee the physiological balance. Each part of the body, in the center of five internal organs, connects each other organically via the channels to form an organized, ordered and unitive ens, where the outside and the inside are connected, the up and down are communicated. Traditional Chinese medicine suggests that the pathological change on local part of human body often have relation to the vicissitude of the viscera, the Qi and blood, the Ying and Yang of the whole body. When diagnosing, the pathological changes of the viscera can be determined through the exterior changes. When treating, the treatment for local pathological diseases can be determined from the view of the whole body. 

2.      Human and nature in traditional Chinese medicine are unified together.

Because human being lives in the nature environment, the changes of the environment (for example, the season, climate, day and night, morning and evening, area and region, and etc.) affect the human body directly or indirectly. The human body responses accordingly. If the response belongs to pathological range, it is physiological adaptability; beyond the range, it is pathological response. Traditional Chinese medicine assumes that tumor is the local presentation of disease on the whole body, whose occurrence and development are the results of the interaction of inner and outer factors. During the treatment, we must follow the natural rule of “Syncretism of Human and Nature” [6].

B. Theory of Psychosomatic Medicine

Chinese psychosomatic medicine [4] has the following theory: Chinese psychosomatic medicine proposes that spirit has relation to the body, and the appearance and spirit are unified for the relation between spirit and body of human beings. It emphasizes the illness function of feeling and ideal, and has the characteristic of commensuration ability when integrated treating the illness caused by spirit and ideal in psychosomatic sides. Chinese psychosomatic medicine is the best field when curing tumor with the integration of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine [7].

C. Theory of Modern Medicine

    Modern medicine believes that the basic mechanism of the occurrence of tumor is that the expression and control of gene, the secretion function of growth factor, and the conduction of the signal are all abnormal, and the cells propagate malignantly. At the same time, there are both the possibility of the saltation of gene for tumor and the mechanism to eliminate the saltation of gene and the occurrence of tumor and the immunity ability in the body. III SCHCH Anti-cancer Mechanisms

Scientific experiments have proved that SCTCH has the following seven anti-tumor mechanisms:

(1)   Electrotherapeutics

Electroporation phenomena: research indicated that there is an electroporation phenomena when cell is affected by electric pulse. The electroporation is a biology-physics phenomena that under the influence of pulse electric field, the hulf-penetrating nature of the cell theca or tissue theca disappears and there are perforations on the thecae. The electroporation phenomena causes the penetrating nature of the cell theca enhanced, so some substance that can not penetrate the cell theca easily, such as chemotherapy medicine and biologic activity molecule, can penetrate the cell thecae through these perforations, enter the cell and exert their biologic effects, which helps to increase the cell toxicity of the anti-tumor medicines.

Change the living environment: with the precondition of ensuring the safety of the sufferers, DROP deploys low-power electric pulse to produce electric field used on tumor tissue. Besides the electroporation, it also changes the inside and outside environment where tumor cells live, which causes a series of electric-biological and electric-chemical reactions to make the tumor tissue die out. Human body is a magnet, in which there is a weak magnetic field. Along with the pathological changes on some part, the electric current and the magnetism in body will change. Magnetic therapy means improve the current distribution and magnetism distribution in body by outside magnetic field.

Disturbance effect of magnetic field on tumor cells: Outside magnetic field affects the magnetic field of cancer tissue, and disturbs the normal grow of the tumor cells. Because there is bioelectricity on cell theca and karyon, the electric and magnetic characteristics of normal cells and cancer cells are different, for example, the electrophoresis rate of cancer cell is higher than that of the same kind normal cells, and the theca volt of cancer cell is higher than that of normal cells. So outside magnetic field can selectively operate on cancer cells to disturb their normal grow [26].

Suppression effect of magnetic on tumor cells: Outside magnetic field can interfere the blood and oxygen supply of tumor. Under the outside magnetic field, hemoglobin can’t have blood and oxygen exchange in tissue normally, resulting in the long-term chronic anoxia of tumor tissue. But the demand for blood and oxygen of tumor tissue is more than normal tissue, so it affects the metabolizing and nutrition supply of cancer cells, and leads to putrescence lack of oxygen [27, 28].

Affects on body immunity function: The magnetic field simulates the exudation of T lymphocyte, which is the main cell in body to resist cancer cell. Simultaneously, magnetism improves the activity of NK cells, which killing function on tumor cells is enhanced. So the immunity function of human body is improved [29].

(4)   Hyperthermia Treatment

Because there is difference of sensitivity to hyperthermia between the normal tissue and tumor tissue, so if hyperthermia treatment can control the temperature in the suitable range, it can effectively kill malignant tumor cells, improve the quality of life of patients and prolong their lifetime. Besides, it complements with radiotherapy and chemotherapy, improve the sensitivity of sufferer to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and alleviate the side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Its main mechanisms contain the following:

The growth and transfer of tumor cells are suppressed: when heated to 42℃, there is no obvious changes on normal cells; While the vasa of tumor tissue is expanded and the blood is blocked, which affects the heat spilling out and causes lack of oxygen supply. The tiny villus of cancer cells disappears, the area of the cell surface decreases, so the oxygen penetrated through cell theca decreases relatively. V Significance of SCTCH

On the principle of “no toxicity, foundation, unification, completeness, integration and economical”, for the seak of WHO Ⅲ level of tumor prevention and cure, the family self-cure treatment plays an important role. In Ⅰ level of tumor prevention and cure, this treatment can prevent the occurrence of tumor; In Ⅱlevel of tumor prevention and cure, it can increase the curing rate and prevent recrudesce and transfer; In Ⅲ level of tumor prevention and cure, it can enhance the curative effect, reduce the side effect, improve life quality and prolong life time. It also has its particular effect when cooperating with the three gold methods preventing and curing cancer—operation, radiotherapy and chemotherapy and implementing integrated treatment.

3        For the tumor patient that receives internal treatment, it can improve the medicine absorbing ability of human body and enhance the curative effect.

4        For the tumor patients on the terminal stage or aged patients, or those that lose the chance of operation, radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments, it can stabilize the disease, effectively alleviate the pain of the patient and prolong their life.

VI Results and Discussion

Clinical Observation Report of Qikangyi

Qikangyi unifies the heat, magnetic, medicine and acupuncture treatments together, and directly transmits the medicine molecules to the focus to execute the curing through the channels and points. It is suitable for curing all kinds of malignant tumors and benign tumors. From September of 1995 to December of 1996, in the healing outpatient department of Hubei Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we had clinic curing on 135 malignant tumor sufferers and 95 benign tumor sufferers for one and a half years. By observation, we obtain satisfactory curative effect. The observation report is as follows.

i) Clinical Materials

1.     The 135 patients are all malignant tumor diagnosed by provincial hospitals. The patients information including age and gender are listed in table 1.

The oldest of the 135 sufferers is 75 years old, and the youngest is 30. The shortest course of disease is half a month and the longest is 7 years. The composing situation of the kinds of the 135 tumor sufferers is illustrated in table 2.

2        The youngest one of the 95 benign tumor sufferers (breast bump) is 28 years old, and the oldest is 52. 47 sufferers have 1-5 months’ course of disease, 26 sufferers have 5-8 months, and 22 sufferers have at least 8 months. Among which, the number of the sufferers whose mammilla flows Kelly mucus are 18, the brown or blood mucus is 12, and the others have little or no mucus.

ii) Treatment Method

For the above 135 malignant tumor sufferers and 95 breasts bump sufferers, according to different tumors and complications, put the detection head on Guanyuan, Zusanli points， the tumor part, aching part or other points respectively by the requirements in the specification. 1-2 times one day, and each time lasts for 30 minutes. 10 days are a period of treatment. Use it for 2-3 periods of treatment continuously.

iii) Standard for Curative Effect

Apparently effective: After one period of treatment, the symptom is improved obviously and does not disturb daily life and work.

Effective: After one period of treatment, the symptom is improved, but the life and work are still affected; after two or more periods of treatment, the symptom is improved obviously.

Ineffective: After three periods of treatment, the symptom is still not alleviated.

iv) Judgment Standard of Curative Effect for SCTCH

1            Tumor shrinks and disappears: 2-3 months after using SCTCH, the changes of tumor can be observed by the examination of CT, MRI, Ultrasonic and X radio.

2            Tumor symbols decrease: 1-3 months after using [self-cure treatment of tumor in home], the guidelines of tumor symbols (CEA, CA19, AFP, IAP) will decrease a lot.

3            Using SCTCH can effectively remit and eliminate the symptoms of cachexia, inappetence, pain, neusea and vomit, and improve the quality of the life greatly.

4            2-3 months after using [self-cure treatment of tumor in home], the immunological function will be improved greatly. Some patients will restore to normal.

v) Observation Result

Table 3 described the main symptoms changes of the 135 tumor sufferers during the treatment period. Among which, track 120 sufferers after one year and have physical examination, the tumors of 67 cases shrink, occupying 55.8%, and the number of sufferers living with tumor is 110, occupying 91.66%.
